Camp Hovey, Korea
Ms. Renée Amoore traveled to Seoul,
Korea during the first week in August where she spoke at
Camp Hovey, Korea at the invitation of the 1st
Brigade, Special Troops Battalion of the United States Army
on August 4, 2006 for Women’s Equality Month. Ms. Amoore
encouraged the women as well as the men, to look at their
goals and objectives; who they are and what they are about,
where they are, and where they want to go. Ms. Amoore also
shared interesting facts about her businesses as well as her
personal life. Ms. Amoore’s motivational and inspirational
style of speaking captivated and mesmerized the audience.
In addition to the Women’s Equality Month Celebration
Program, Ms. Amoore had an opportunity to meet with various
military staff and also attend a “Change of Command
Ceremony.” Ms. Amoore also thanked the soldiers for serving
our great country.
Throughout this visit, Ms. Amoore was
able to engage with members of the military on a one-on-one
basis, giving personal advice and support of their
individual goals and aspirations once they return to
civilian life. A tour of Seoul was also a part of this very
special visit.
