King of Prussia, PA – Robert
Traynham, Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of
Communications for the Senate Republican Conference will
be a call in guest on “The Other Side of the Aisle”
Monday, November 21st. This long time
Republican will call in at 8:30 a.m. to discuss issues
of interest to members of Pennsylvania’s African
American community.
In his current position, Traynham
is responsible for developing and implementing
communication strategies, and for overseeing
press-related activities on behalf of all Republicans in
the U.S. Senate. In addition to his various positions
with United States Senator Rick Santorum, Traynham has
also served as President of the U.S. Senate Press
Secretaries Association, Political Director for Black
America’s Political Action Committee (BAMPAC), Special
Assistant for the 1996 Republican National Convention
and Special Assistant to the Director of Information
Services for the Republican National Committee.
Traynham has been recognized by
National Journal as one of the most powerful people
on Capitol Hill, has appeared in the The
Philadelphia Tribune as a “mover and shaker” on
Capitol Hill, and by Roll Call Newspaper as one
of the most “50 Most Powerful Staffers on Capitol Hill”.
Joe Mahoney, Senior Vice President,
External Affairs of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of
Commerce and Dennis Powell,
Chairman of the Small Business Board of the Greater
Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce will call in at 7:30
a.m.
Mahoney is a 14 year veteran of
the Philadelphia Greater Chamber of Commerce. In
addition to his Chamber position,
Powell is also President of Massey Powell Public Relations
Strategy, a company he founded in 1985. Mahoney and Powell
will discuss recent Chamber initiatives to improve the
business climate in the Philadelphia region and inform
listeners about services the Chamber provides to local small
businesses.
“The Other Side of the Aisle”
airs twice monthly on WURD (900 AM) from 7 to 10 a.m. The
show’s purpose is to present the listening audience with an
opportunity to hear what members of the Republican Party
believe need to be done to address the needs of the African
American community. The show was the brainchild of Reneé
Amoore, President and CEO of The Amoore Group, Inc. Amoore
is also deputy chair of the Pennsylvania Republican State
Committee. In recent weeks, Amoore has hosted Steven
Nesmith, Assistant Secretary of U.S. Housing and Urban
Development and Robert Judge, U.S.
Small Business Administration, Office of Advocacy.
